Optics: "Buying French, a citizen's approach
The eyewear industry has launched a campaign to raise awareness of glasses made by French companies.
"Look closely, in these glasses, there are jobs, a region and even the whole of France". The poster was deliberately sober, with a simple and powerful message. It is based on two axes: "the promotion of French companies, and solidarity in terms of employment".
This communication campaign was initiated by Lunettes de France, the professional union that brings together eyewear manufacturers from the Jura, the Oyonnaxian basin and Paris, Essilor, the world leader in optical lenses, in partnership with a local optician. The campaign, which will run in the local press and on billboards until 12 December, is not intended to be moralising. "We remain in our role as eyewear manufacturers, with a message that appeals to people's intelligence.
